KISHTWAR, NOV 11 : (KNO) Annual Urs Sharief of Hazarat Shah Asrar-Ud-Din Sahib was celebrated with religious fervour in Kishtwar district of Chenab valley .One of the most revered saints of Kishtwar, Shah Asrar represents the common cultural heritage and mutual love between various communities of this area. Every year thousands of devotees from all walks of life and different religions and regions throng the famous shrine of Shah Asrar-Ud Din Sahib in Kishtwar to pay their reverence to the pious saint and seek his blessings. Locally the Urs is known as 25 Katak as it falls on 25th of Kartik month of Vikrami Samvat .The Shah Fareed-ud-Din ( RA) & Shah Asrar-ud-Din (RA ) were from Shaafi School of thought but during their preaching of Islam in Chenab region ,the Sufis never forced Ahnaaf to fallow their mindset which is an exemplary act of assimilating all deeds(Sunnah) of Prophet Mohammad SAW into one fold .Shah Fareed-ud-Din RA arrived in KIshtwar in 1664 AD and the Rajput prince let of Kishtwar embraced Islam willfully and affectionately without any coercion. The Raja Mohammad Teg Singh(from Raja Teg Singh) and Sadatyaar Khan (from Kirath Singh) miraculously fallowed Shah Fareed-ud-Din RA .All this happened due to overwhelming divinity and spiritual preponderance of Sufis of Kishtwar.The Sufis of Kishtwar maintained brotherhood among all schools of thought with in Islam and with other religious ideologies as well which actually maintained harmony within and with all. Islamic Scholars speaking on the occasion appeal all Islamic schools of thought come under the commandments of Allah (Quraan) and Muhammad SAW (Sunnah) and fallow the real message of Shah Asrar-ud-Din RA I.e. "Walaatafarraqu" which is the need of the times when Muslims are facing so many things in the globe.It is worthwhile to mention here that one of the most spectacular crowds which could be seen at the historical Chowgan during the eve of URS of Hazrat Shah Asara-ud-din Baghdadi (R.A).This Ground is also known as "Haill-e-maidan" . It's known to witness of the most un obvious miracles of Shah Asrar (R.A), where he would play polo with his non Muslim colleague at that time. This holy ground has witnessed the vehemence oh his s' presence .The Sajada Nasheen of Asthan Sharief Hazaratsayed MohdIsrar-Ud-Din namely Hazaraat Nasir -Ud-Din who belongs to Qasmia family had translated the history of Kishtwar from Sanskrit to person. In 20th century AD, there were number of literary and cultural personalities which include Peer Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din, Peer Bahav-Ud-Din, Khawaja Ghulam Rasool Kangar, Ishrat Kashmiri, Ghulam Rasool Nishat, Kashmiri Lal Roop, Hans Raj Wazir, Wali Mohd Asheer Kishtwari, Ghulam Nabi Dhul Wall, Chander Parkash Chander. In 1935 AD Bazme-e-Adab Kishtwar was established under the president ship of Ghulam Hayder Qaiser. Khawaja Ghulam Nabi Dhull Wall was prominent cultural name of Kishtwar.(KNO)
